Continuing Education

The assignment of AOTA CEU's does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA.
Saebo is an accredited provider of continuing education by the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA). We offer 2–day (1.6 CEU's) training classes nationally and internationally. Following successful completion of the training, clinicians are eligible to measure, fit and order Saebo’s dynamic neurological orthoses.
Registrants for this course must:
Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist or COTA/PTA. Licensed Orthotists are also eligable
- Have experience with fabricating and fitting splints/orthotics
- Have experience with the evaluation and treatment of neurological patients
- Currently have an active caseload consisting of neurological patients that are appropriate for the Saebo program
Saebo 2-day Course:
The course consists of lecture and lab. The lecture portion of the program covers the latest treatment techniques, common clinical concerns, supporting research, and introduces Saebo’s functional dynamic orthoses specifically designed for upper extremity stroke rehabilitation.
During the lab section of the program, therapists will team up and assemble and fit each other with the SaeboFlex and SaeboReach. They will learn all the parts that make up the orthoses, and the correct adjustment/fitting procedure. The lab section will also include local stroke survivors who have offered their time to help demonstrate our products and program. Towards the end of the training, clinicians will have the opportunity to fit the demonstration volunteers with the orthoses and provide task-oriented arm training drills.
Please contact Saebo for more information on our course schedule and locations.
