SaeboStim Micro Electro Mesh Glove

“I have been using the SaeboStim Micro in an outpatient rehabilitation setting and I am absolutely amazed by the immediate results. It works extremely well with patients diagnosed with central cord syndrome/spinal cord injury who have upper extremity sensory and motor loss. It also works well for the management of pain and sensory disturbance due to complex regional pain syndrome. Several patients have purchased their own SaeboStim Micro for home use and report weekly improvements in hand sensation. The SaeboStim Micro is an affordable choice and a great addition to an upper extremity sensory home program.”

After only 3 weeks of sessions with the SaeboStim Micro, this patient was able to use a spoon and eat with her affected hand! She could still feel the stimulation in her treated hand several hours after the device was removed, and continues to make progress toward achieving her goals.

It felt easier to walk and they enjoyed the low profile of the SaeboStep!

My name is Katie and I am a pediatric physical therapist. I have long thought of Saebo as a company geared towards occupational therapy for rehab of the hand/arm. Recently, I attended an in-service by a Saebo rep where I learned about the SaeboStep. Our rep, Lanie noted that most clinics she has worked with have used the SaeboStep for post-stroke for helping with foot drop, so she was more than willing to let me have a trial to use with my pediatric population.

He reported improvement after the first day!

I recently used the SaeboStim Micro with a patient in his seventies who had a stroke (CVA) four months prior. He was receiving inpatient rehab at our skilled nursing facility.  He had made significant progress regaining motor function but continued to have impaired sensation in his hand. He reported a continuous tingling feeling. He also had difficulty distinguishing different sensations (sharp, dull, smooth, soft, hard, etc). This made many daily tasks harder. For example, buttoning a shirt took concentration as he struggled to feel the difference between the hard button and the pliable cloth. Many other tasks similarly took extra effort and time.

SaeboVR

The Universal Institute Rehabilitation & Life Center in Livingston, New Jersey recently purchased the SaeboVR, becoming the first facility in the United States to offer this innovative virtual reality technology to patients. The SaeboVR is the world’s first FDA-approved ADL-focused virtual reality rehabilitation system, and was made available to clinicians only a few months ago. The clinicians at UIRehab are very excited about their new device, and have already begun utilizing the SaeboVR during therapy sessions.

Becky Carter Otr, Msrs, Becky Carter, Becky Carter Otr

My name is Becky Carter, and I am an Occupational Therapist at Scenic Mountain Medical Center in Big Spring, Texas. I had the opportunity to trial the Saebo MyoTrac Infiniti with 2 outpatients that I am currently working with. One of the patients is an 18-year-old male who suffered a spinal cord injury with resulting C4-C5 incomplete quadriplegia. This patient is a very motivated young man who was an athlete prior to his injury. He was and is very competitive, even with himself. He absolutely loved the Saebo MyoTrac Infiniti because it gave him visual feedback while he was performing exercises. He enjoyed challenging himself to see if he could make the readings go higher toward the end of an exercise. This patient has had his second round of stem cell transplants, and the neurologist used the readings I provided from the Saebo MyoTrac Infiniti as a way of gauging his improved upper extremity strength before and after stem cell treatments.

Krystal Maclin, Otr/l

Krystal Maclin, OTR/L of Spire Rehab Hospital and her team were recently trained to use the SaeboMAS. This facility treats patients with varying diagnoses, from CVA to traumatic brain injury, and even cardiac patients. With the SaeboMAS, their patients were able to perform a wide variety of functional movements — like reaching down to tie their shoes or reaching into their back pockets — and other activities that they never thought they could achieve before using this dynamic mobile arm support. Hear Krystal’s story in the video below.

Amy suffered a stroke at the age of 11, and the doctor told her she would see no more improvement in her left hand. Several years later, Amy is bound and determined to regain hand function with the SaeboGlove.
