I graduated with a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy in 2008 from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Shortly after receiving my Masters, I moved to Houston, Texas. For the past eight years, I have worked all throughout the medical center in Houston, including, but not limited to: TIRR Memorial Hermann, Memorial Hermann, MD Anderson, Supplemental Healthcare and now currently for Rehab Without Walls. During these eight years, I have specialized in neurological rehabilitation, and I have been very active with two non-profits: Rehab Services Volunteer Project (RSVP Houston) and the United Spinal Association Houston (formerly National Spinal Cord Injury Association Houston). Both organizations were created to help individuals living with neurological injuries.
I have worked with Saebo products – more specifically, the SaeboStretch and SaeboFlex – for at least seven years. I absolutely recommend them for all healthcare practitioners as Saebo products are unique in many ways.

My love story with Saebo began in October 2008. I was just released from in-patient rehab to a day rehab. The day rehab was 3 hours a day for 3 days a week. My rehabilitation plan was for speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. The therapy trifecta! I was still in the early stages of my stroke recovery, so my brain was in the prime to be rewired. I was making small gains here and there, but recovery was SLOW. I really was getting discouraged. From an athletic 27 year old woman that spent multiple hours in the gym, went to a 27 year old woman that wasn’t able to really walk, dress herself, or remember what I just ate. It was frustrating!!!

Dr. Christopher Walker has performed as a soloist in eleven countries, spanning three continents, and has shared the stage with such great performers as Frederick Fennell, Eugene Rousseau, and The United States Air Force Academy Band. He has performed for the Vice President of the United States.
In military bands, Master Sergeant Walker has served as a saxophone, flute, and clarinet soloist, conductor, and musical group leader. Recently, Dr. Walker performed a tour of Norway in honor of the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian constitution, giving performances and presenting guest lectures. Dr. Walker serves on the faculties of Georgia Southwestern State University and Darton State College.

My name is Jena Bohl, and I’ve been an Occupational Therapist for 5 years.
I have been working in outpatient neurological rehab for almost three years at HonorHealth (formerly Scottsdale Healthcare) in Scottsdale, AZ. During this time, I have been using Saebo products including the SaeboReach, SaeboFlex, SaeboGlide, SaeboStretch, SaeboMAS, and trialed the Saebo MyoTrac Infiniti for 2 weeks. I am Kevin Breveleri, and I am 34 years old. I was born with a rare heart defect called L Transposition of the Great Anterior Vessels. Because of this, I have had 3 mitral valve replacements in addition to 8 pacemaker surgeries.
I had a stroke when I was 21 years old due to complications from my heart condition which caused a blood clot to go to my head. After my stroke, I couldn’t walk, talk, or use my right hand.

I have been an Occupational Therapist for 3 1/2 years, working in an outpatient clinic. I have had the opportunity to work with many patients who have experienced a stroke but regardless of intervention strategies I tried, I have always been unsatisfied with the progress we have made by the time the patient is discharged (usually based off of insurance limitations from hitting a level of plateaued progress).

I suffered from a stroke on 10/5/13 at 28 years old. I was on my way to a hair salon appointment. When I pulled into the parking lot, I suddenly felt my right side go numb. As I tried to get out of my car, I collapsed, unable to stand. My right side felt unresponsive. I could not move- all I could do was wait and cry until someone noticed me.
When I did not respond to his text messages, my hairdresser, Nico, came out to the parking lot to find me lying on the ground. When I couldn’t answer, he called the paramedics. The police arrived first, and quickly sent me to the hospital. I passed out in the ambulance on the way there.
At the hospital, I underwent a craniotomy to remove the blood clot that had formed in my brain. It was a hemorrhage in my left-frontal lobe.

I was diagnosed with MS in March of 2013. I had been experiencing neurological symptoms for nine years, so it was not a big surprise when I got the diagnosis. I had a long period of time to adjust to the notion before it was an actual reality. I was afraid of having to use a wheelchair or living in a care facility. But my biggest fear was that I would lose my ability to paint, which was not only my career but also my passion.
I heard about the SaeboMAS from my occupational therapist. I was not recovering as we had hoped, so it seemed that I would have to adjust to my new disabilities instead of hoping for a full recovery.

As President of Everest Healthcare, I know from personal experience that Saebo products not only give patients the ability to perform tasks with their affected hand that they could not otherwise with other physiotherapy options, but also restore hope that they may be able to regain functionality.
One of my patients in his early thirties was delighted to perform grasp and release activities using the SaeboFlex for the first time since his stroke several months ago. For a young person seeking to regain employment and become financially independent again, functionality is essential. The SaeboFlex provides tremendous hope to patients of such possibilities.
