Is a Licensed Therapist Required to provide the SaeboStim One to clients?
No. Since the SaeboStim One has a single, preset program, it’s easy to use on your own. Simply follow the instructions in the manual. If you are currently working with a physical therapist, you can use the SaeboStim One as part of your rehabilitation to augment your physical therapy session.
Is a Prescription from a Physician Required?
Yes. To receive the SaeboStim One, the FDA requires that your doctor write a script for “Electrical Stimulation for Muscular Disuse Atrophy.”
How Frequently Should I Use the SaeboStim One?
For most muscle groups, just 30 minutes of stimulation per day is a great starting dosage — a comfortable routine most people can stick with. The SaeboStim One is designed to be comfortable and convenient for much longer sessions, and research suggests additional daily use can deliver even stronger results, so you can build up at your own pace. For shoulder subluxation, longer daily sessions (up to several hours) are specifically recommended — exactly what the wireless, wearable SaeboStim One was built for.

Indications
- The SaeboStim One is commonly recommended to patients by Neurologists, Orthopedic Surgeons, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Chiropractors, and other Physicians and Health Care Practitioners, and should be purchased based on their written prescription. It is an effective treatment for spasticity, muscle weakness, atrophy, or similar concerns associated with neurological injuries.
- The SaeboStim One can also be used for other parts of the body as well (i.e., orthopedic injuries). Individuals who have had injuries that result in limited movement, weakness, or foot drop may benefit from this device.

Contraindications
The SaeboStim One may not be appropriate for the following:
- Patients who have pacemakers.
- Patients with cardiac arrhythmias or disturbances.
- Patients who have recent scar tissue on areas of skin where the device would be applied.
- Use on the uterus of pregnant or menstruating women.

One of the most common areas often affected by a neurological injury is the shoulder (i.e., glenohumeral joint). The shoulder complex is a very sophisticated and complicated joint.
